The webcaptain is struggling to find content to amuse and enlighten the membership. A combination of his listlessness / apathy / insert feeble excuse here (………) leaves him worried that members who have recently discovered our illustrious global web portal will now drift away on an ebbtide of disappointment and lowliness.

You can help! Send in your requests, and we will see what we can do. It’s just like asking Ken Bruce to play your favourite songs on
BBC Radio2. But with a much better chance of success.

Send anything you like (within reason). Grainy blurred long shot photos of your friend paddling furiously up the river Lynher, oil on board seascapes of Edward Stones’ lighthouse, badly spelt ramblings of long since forgotten escapades in ancient canoes, paddle boarding adventures on the Tiddymazon, it all works for us.

The webcaptain will then view, edit, moderate, and hopefully laugh out loud at your offerings. Before proudly displaying them on the QSC website with credits, disclaimers and outright denial of responsibility for any wrongdoings. Go on! What’s the worst that can happen?

Please send your offerings to

Did you know ? (probably not seeing as how could you?) that over 80% of the traffic though QSC website is via a mobile device? I didn’t either, without some random clicking through the stats menu on the host platform (techie jargon, don’t you just love it!) Took me by surprise. And rattled my cage, as it takes twice as long to tweak the gigglybites and jiggle the podthingies. Which is prolly why your mobile web experience (CX to some saddo’s) is so rubbish. Apols. Must try harder.

The webcaptain is looking for a first mate, or 2nd engineer, or ships cat. He happily admits that his web developing skills are more home build Mirror dinghy than Hallberg-Rassey. So, if you know any member who can get him over the rail onto a screaming plane down the River Lynher, then please get in touch. We use a budget priced generic website template hosted by Whilst it is adequate and functional, it could do with a complete refit of standing and running rigging. The centre board sticks at just the wrong moment, and with its shocking weather helm, it luffs so hard in the gusts, that it quite frequently self-tacks into something that was just not there a couple of moments ago…
